This is another of those stages in which the map profile very closely matches the elevation profile. The rollout is north easterly and uphill for four miles. There’s a fork in the road after half a mile where the choice is to go left or right in order to rejoin the same road a mile later. You are taking the right fork which is a slightly longer way round.
By the time you get to the top of the climb, the road swings right to Malyy Kemchug and it remains lumpy flat for four miles along a straight section through the forest before a descent kicks in at the junction to Kedrovy that sits a mile to the north. After the junction, you pass by Pamyati Trinadtsati Bortsov at thirteen miles and by now you’re well into a ten mile descent that stretches all the way to the first junction to Krasnoyarsk Cheremshanka Airport at twenty miles.
The airport lies just north of Yelovskiy just three miles from the finish, and having descended for ten miles, you won’t be surprised to discover that the final three miles are uphill, the stage finishing just before the second junction to the airport.
